NBC Sports Announces 2026 Monster Energy SMX World Championship Broadcast Schedule

Regular-season and postseason coverage of the Monster Energy SMX World Championship will air across NBC, Peacock, and NBCSN, with Peacock streaming every race, qualifier, and heat live throughout the 2026 season.

NBC Sports and the SMX League™ have officially released the 2026 broadcast and streaming schedule for the Monster Energy SMX World Championship, which includes the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship and the Pro Motocross Championship, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing. A total of 28 regular-season events, plus the SMX Playoffs and Final, will be presented across NBC platforms, giving fans extensive access from January through September.
Peacock remains the exclusive home of the SMX World Championship in 2026, providing:
Live coverage of every race
All qualifying sessions and heats
Full-event replays on demand
In addition, 11 events (live and encore) will air on NBC, with select races appearing on the new NBCSN network — a 24/7 sports destination showcasing premium NBC Sports programming.
NBC Sports 2026 Monster Energy SMX World Championship Broadcast Schedule
The action begins Saturday, January 10, at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California. The day features:
SMX Insider Pre-Race Show at 6:30 p.m. ET on Peacock
Live racing at 7 p.m. ET on Peacock
SMX Preview Show encore earlier that afternoon at 4:30 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock
This marks the start of the fourth season under the unified SMX World Championship structure, which blends Supercross and Pro Motocross into one connected series leading to the season-ending SMX Playoffs and Final.
Pro Motocross Season Begins May 30
The outdoor portion of the championship begins at Fox Raceway National in Pala, California, on Saturday, May 30, airing exclusively on Peacock at 4 p.m. ET. An encore presentation will follow the next afternoon on NBC at 1:30 p.m. ET.
SMX Playoffs and Final Set for September
The 2026 postseason schedule includes:
Playoff Round 1 – September 12
Playoff Round 2 – September 19
SMX World Championship Final – September 26

Strong Streaming Growth in 2025 Sets Stage for Bigger 2026 Season
Peacock’s coverage of the 2025 SMX World Championship Series delivered more than 1.5 billion streaming minutes, marking another year of significant audience growth. Unique viewership for SuperMotocross increased 6% year-over-year, reflecting the sport’s expanding reach and the loyalty of its fanbase.

The broadcast team for the new season will feature:

Ricky Carmichael (15-time AMA Champion) & James Stewart (five-time AMA Champion) – Analysts
Will Christien & Jason Thomas – Trackside reporters
Race Day Live, airing exclusively on Peacock, will be hosted by former racers Justin Brayton and Adam Cianciarulo, with reporting from Steven “Lurch” Scott and Haley Shanley. During Pro Motocross events, Katie Osborne will join the rotation.
Spanish-language broadcasts will also be available on Peacock for the entire season.
