At Two Four Social Media, we get an inside look at what it takes to compete at the highest levels of short track racing — and this past weekend at the Snowball Derby was a perfect example. The Sigma Performance Services (SPS) team rolled into Pensacola ready to make a statement, and they did exactly that.

Preston Peltier Snowball Derby Pole and a Top-Ten Finish
Preston Peltier stepped back into the #48 P1 and wasted no time reminding the field what he’s capable of. He grabbed the pole for the biggest short track race of the year and backed it up with a hard-earned top-ten finish. Even after a late-race motor issue shuffled the running order, the team showed speed, composure, and grit from start to finish.
For SPS, this was more than a result on paper — it was a reflection of the strength of the program they’re building.

What You Don’t See: The Work Behind the Speed
One of the most impressive parts of the weekend didn’t happen on the track. It happened:
during long nights in the shop leading up to Derby week,
navigating rain delays and a constantly shifting schedule,
and staying locked in when the race stretched all the way to Monday.
The SPS crew showed the kind of commitment and toughness that defines elite grassroots racing teams. The preparation and teamwork behind the scenes were every bit as important as the performance on track.
Fans, Heart, and the Spirit of Short Track Racing
The atmosphere around the Snowball Derby is special, and SPS felt that support all weekend. Fans stood in the rain, pushed through delays, and still showed up ready to cheer when the cars hit the track again. That energy is a big part of what keeps grassroots racing thriving — and it fuels teams like SPS to keep pushing forward.
Looking Ahead
From grabbing the pole to securing a top-ten finish, the Snowball Derby weekend was a reminder of just how strong the SPS program is — and how much potential lies ahead. We’re proud to work alongside a team that brings this level of dedication and passion to the sport.
Here’s to the momentum, the growth, and the races still to come.
