SAN FRANCISCO, CA - The Supercross world is buzzing with excitement as Robert Hailey aka "stretch", the rising star and also the tallest rider in the series at 6'7" is all set to make his 2024 Supercross debut with Team Faith this weekend at Oracle Park in San Francisco.
The young rider's strategic decision to switch from the 250 East to the highly competitive 250 West was a bit of a selfishly pleasant surprise to us here at Two Four Speed and we can't wait to see him line up tonight in what surely will be a mudder for the ages.
In a surprising turn of events, Hailey revealed that his decision to race in the 250 West category was a last-minute choice, a move that has piqued the interest of fans. Speaking about his decision, Hailey said, "It was a last-minute decision to race 250 West instead of 250 East. I'm super excited to go racing this weekend and see where I stack up against the West Coast boys."
The 2023 season was Robert Hailey III's rookie year in the Supercross series, and he made quite an impression. Throughout the season, he displayed his talent and determination by consistently qualifying in the top 40 in eight out of the eleven races, an achievement that left spectators and veterans in awe. His remarkable debut season set the stage for what promises to be an even more impressive sophomore campaign.
With the 2024 Supercross season now underway, Hailey is poised to build upon his rookie success. Hailey has been hard at work during the offseason, honing his technique and fitness, and he's eager to show the world just how far he's come.
Robert will be riding this year for Team Faith, which is a non-profit multi-faceted Outreach Ministry that impacts people who are enthusiastic about Action Sports. They started in 1994 in the Pro Personal Watercraft Racing industry and have migrated to the Pro Motocross Racing and Freestyle Motocross industries respectively. Team Faith’s vision is to establish evangelism teams of action sports athletes led by “Pit Pastors” (Chaplains), to infiltrate professional racing circuits and other action sports events.
As the anticipation builds for Robert Hailey III's Supercross debut in San Francisco, fans are bracing themselves for a thrilling display of talent and determination. Will he continue his upward trajectory and leave a lasting mark on the West Coast rounds of the SX series? The answer lies at Oracle Stadium in San Francisco, where Hailey will face off against some of the best riders in the sport.
It's a showdown that promises high-flying action and heart-pounding excitement, and Supercross fans like us wouldn't want to miss it for the world.
Good luck, Robert! We'll be rooting for you tonight and all season long.
