The ARCA Menards Series is about to wrap up its 2023 series, and at the heart of the action is a young sensation that’s caught the attention of motorsport enthusiasts globally – 16-year-old Sean Hingorani.
In just his second full season of racing, this talented driver from Newport Beach, CA is set to compete in the main season finale at Toledo Speedway in the Shore Lunch 200 presented by CGS Imaging this Saturday. If you've been tracking the motorsport scene, you'd know Hingorani isn’t just any rookie; he's a trailblazer. In April, he made waves by becoming the first driver of Indian descent to clinch a victory in a NASCAR race, taking home a win at Irwindale Speedway in the ARCA Menards Series West.
But he didn’t just stop there. Riding on the momentum, Sean tasted victory three more times this season in the Venturini Motorsports #15 Toyota, winning at Kern County Raceway, Shasta Speedway, and Evergreen Speedway in Washington. With such impressive performances, it's no surprise he's leading the overall standings by 37 points in the West, with only three rounds remaining in that series.
While primarily dazzling in the ARCA Menards Series West, Hingorani has also made noteworthy appearances in the ARCA Menards Main Series. In each outing, he’s showcased grit, competing fiercely and vying for major wins throughout 2023.
A testament to his dedication and skill was evident when he raced at Toledo’s sister track, Flat Rock Speedway, during the Dutch Boy 150 in May. Hingorani dominated by setting the fastest lap time in qualifying and leading the most laps eventually coming in third.
